This is a beautiful poem

Maybe the most beautiful poem ever
I’m not saying
other people tell me this
and they should know
I’ve got words I don’t even realise yet
the biggest the longest the juiciest
there’s a dictionary in my head
whole pages of the most terrific
Not something editors will tell you
blank until I fire them off
I had a pie with more depth
you know sweet as the past
All the things you remember
the best sentences are coming
and as for verses
they could end a civilisation
Free range cubist rhyming on windowsills
let me tell you about graffiti
I’ve had that hat
they won’t tell you
Out there where all the fake literati
speak in their broke woke tongues
I’ve got news for you baby
the best the greatest you’ll ever hear
Just read between the lines
we can all end up there, beautiful

A red hat on an unkempt White House lawn, some scraggly rose bushes and The White House blurry in the background. The hat has embroidered letters of the acronym MPGA, which stands for 'Make Poetry Great Again'.
